Meet Dr. April Coughlin, L.Ac.
April is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) practicing in Eugene, OR. She specializes in Classical Acupuncture and Five Element Acupuncture.
Before receiving her Doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Science, April received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Her fascination with the mind-body connection led her to Acupuncture, where she experienced firsthand a form of medicine that addresses not only physical health, but also mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Alongside her formal Doctoral education in Chinese Medicine, April studied with two master-level mentors trained in Classical Chinese Medicine and Classical Five Element Acupuncture. These approaches address the root cause of health imbalances, helping patients experience greater clarity, vitality, and inner peace.
April brings an intuitive, grounded, and compassionate approach to her work. She believes healing happens through real connection, and that being truly seen and heard can be medicine in itself. In a world where technology keeps us constantly connected yet often leaves us starved for genuine heart connection, she creates space for people to slow down, come back to themselves, and feel deeply supported.
Besides her work as a clinician, April is passionate about dancing salsa and west coast swing, enjoying time in nature, and petting every dog she can.
